Their remarks are meant to provoke
Pakatan leaders are only known for making inflammatory statements with the purpose of stirring up the emotions of the public. Such irresponsible remarks not only do not contribute to the country, but they also ignite hatred amongst the people.
Besides PAS, their Pakatan partners DAP also constantly display insincerity in their apologies by refusing to admit their mistakes.
For example, previously DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng had claimed that Johor was a dangerous place. While he had apologized to the Sultan and the people of Johor, he had tried to direct the blame away from himself by accusing the media of being under the control of BN. Hew Kuan Yau, the former DAP election publicity chief, had also tried to deflect blame over his description of journalists as prostitutes by claiming that his remark was only directed to certain journalists.
These examples above prove that Pakatan leaders like making empty promises and irresponsible remarks to provoke and belittle others while lifting themselves up. But when they are subjected to criticisms or negative feedback, they make conditional, insincere apologies.
