MCA, not DAP, dares to stand up against PAS’ hudud law agenda

More hypocrisy abounds on DAP’s stand over hudud with the statement by Zairil Khir Johari, the political secretary of the DAP Secretary General Lim Guan Eng, saying that DAP was willing to discuss, or to have a muzakarah, over any issue, including the implementation of hudud law (Malaysiakini, 12 Aug 12).

This contradicts the many calls by DAP National Chairman Karpal Singh to PAS to stop bringing up the hudud issue, thus proving once again that within DAP, only Karpal has the courage to rebel against PAS while the rest of the leaders prefer to keep quiet for fear of angering Pakatan’s biggest party in terms of membership.

This is a scary fact, as Karpal’s one-man-show indicates that DAP will never be able to provide a check and balance system against PAS’ hardline agenda.

Hadi Awang’s sudden defence of DAP

Even PAS President Dato’ Seri Hadi Awang, in his attempt to win over Muslim votes, had said that despite Karpal’s objection towards hudud law, DAP had never brought up the issue to the court (Sinar Harian, 13 Aug 12).

This fact has to be pointed out to the public.  Despite their constant lying rhetoric on being against hudud, DAP is merely putting on a show for the public while at the same time secretly supporting PAS’ agenda.

Only Karpal remains obstinate against hudud. In reality, no Rocket member dares to take a legal challenge against PAS in courts which is a direct contrast against MCA. Our party, on the other hand, stands firm in its position that hudud law should not be implemented in a multiracial country such as Malaysia.

While DAP spouts lies, MCA walks the talk by taking case to court

When the PAS Kelantan state government imposed a ban on the sale of licenced lottery tickets, MCA had met the state government to discuss the matter, but when the Kelantan PAS government still refused to lift the ban, MCA had brought up the matter up to court.

So how can we be accused of eroding Chinese rights when we are standing hand in hand with the Chinese community, protecting their rights against PAS’ encroachment of their basic rights, while DAP is the one who keeps silent while helping to secure votes for PAS by shamelessly lying to Malaysians?
